Chandigarh — The Haryana government on Saturday issued transfer and posting orders for three Haryana Civil Service (HCS) officers, while the police headquarters simultaneously ordered the transfer of 20 police officers with immediate effect. The administrative reshuffle, ordered by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi on the instructions of the Governor, is seen as part of the state government’s efforts to make law and order and administrative functioning more effective. The transfers come a day after the government carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle involving 17 IAS and seven HCS officers on Friday.
Pradeep Ahlawat appointed Rewari District Municipal Commissioner
HCS officer Pradeep Ahlawat-II (2016 batch), who had been awaiting posting orders for a long time, has been appointed as the District Municipal Commissioner of Rewari. He will replace Brahm Prakash (HCS 2019) in this position.
Sushil Kumar gets new role in Development and Panchayat Department
Sushil Kumar-IV (HCS 2019), who was posted as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Zila Parishad and DRDA in Yamunanagar, has been transferred and posted as Joint Director (Administration) in the Development and Panchayat Department, Haryana. This position was lying vacant.
Brahm Prakash moved to Yamunanagar
Brahm Prakash (HCS 2019), who was removed from the post of District Municipal Commissioner, Rewari, has been given a new responsibility as CEO, Zila Parishad and CEO, DRDA in Yamunanagar, replacing Sushil Kumar.
Police department sees major reshuffle, 20 officers transferred
In line with the administrative reshuffle, the police department also made significant changes. The police headquarters issued transfer orders for 20 police officers, including Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, and Assistant Sub-Inspectors. These transfers have been made keeping in mind public interest and administrative requirements.
Inspectors transferred
According to the police transfer order, Inspector Rakesh Kumar (CP/26) has been moved from SV & ACB (H), Panchkula to Panchkula. Inspector Narendra (SS/CPF) has been transferred from the 3rd Battalion HAP, Hisar to Commando (H). Inspector Balraj (502/H) has been moved from SRS to FTB. Inspector Prahlad Rai (H/145) has been transferred from FTB to Hisar. Inspector Subhash (892/PPT) has been moved from SPT to Karnal. Inspector Suresh Chand (CV/CCV) has been transferred from Faridabad to Gurugram. Inspector Rajesh (34th IRB) has been moved from IRB to KKR. Inspector Pardeep (CP/11) has been transferred from IRB to SPT. Inspector Kashmir Singh (60/PWL) has been moved from Palwal to Nuh.
SI, PSI and ASI also transferred
Sub-Inspector Bir Singh (1506/HSR) has been moved from Hisar to Nuh. Sub-Inspector Nawab (H/537) has been transferred from FTB to SRS. Sub-Inspector Manoj (425/GGM) has been moved from Gurugram to Nuh. PSI Sandeep (DOB 05.02.93) has been transferred from FTB to SRS.
ASI Anil Kumar (865/GGM) has been moved from Gurugram to Mewat. ASI Khushi Ram (808/KTL) has been transferred from Karnal to SPT. ASI Jay Bhagwan (37/YNR) has been moved from Yamunanagar to Kurukshetra. ASI Anil Kumar (93/BWN) has been transferred from Bhiwani to Hansi. ASI Ishwar Chand (2589/FBD) has been moved from Palwal to Faridabad. ASI Nirmal (20/FTB) has been transferred from FTB to Jind. EASI Sandeep (1601/SPT) has been moved from SPT to SRS.
What are the conditions regarding postings?
The orders have made it clear that the transfers have been done on request, but officers will not be posted in their home districts despite this. The Haryana government’s existing policy states that gazetted officers cannot ordinarily be posted in their home districts to prevent bias and conflicts of interest. Additionally, if any departmental inquiry is pending against an officer, instructions have been given to resolve it within 15 days. All officers have been directed to report to their new places of posting.
Why are these transfers being carried out?
The transfers are being seen as part of the state government’s efforts to make the administrative machinery and police system more effective.
